The game was one for the storybooks. The first 80 minutes was an even match with both teams scoring one goal each. In the last 10 minutes, Revolution resolved not to let the match go to a shoot-out. They dug deep, turned up the pressure, and blasted two shots past the goalie to seal the championship! Well done, Revolution, well done.

Posh Digs

Ohhhh yeahhh! Now this is what I'm talkin' about, people! What can I say? I've got great taste and like to roll in style.

Alas, I don't have a job or any money. But, I really, really, really want to stay there so I swallowed my pride and struck a deal with my mom. She'll book a room at El Portal if I follow the below terms for a week straight. I soooooo got this in the bag.

The terms:
no barking in the house
no pulling on the leash while walking
no hiding Lola's monkey arm
take the trash out (without being reminded)
put away the clean dishes (daily)
help Lola with her Spanish homework (Tues & Thurs)

I'll keep you posted.
TTFN,
Til

Tough Beginnings

When I was just a small pup, I ended up at the pound. I'm not really sure why, but needless to say it was not a happy time in my life and one I try to forget (loud noises still send me into a panic sometimes). Luckily, Arizona Animal Welfare League rescued me from the pound and kept me safe and warm. They named me Tilly, a name I like because it rhymes with my grandma's name, Millie. I was classified as "abnormally shy" and no one wanted to adopt me for weeks. One day, I met my mom's friend Amanda (she was a volunteer there) and she told my mom about be. When my mom came to see me, I recognized her immediately because we have the same black hair. I melded to her and knew I had found a happy home for the rest of my life.

I'm no longer shy, in fact, my mom says I'm part Australian Shepherd, part Spaz. And even though I live in the lap of luxury, I've never forgotten how AAWL saved me. That's why I'd like you to join me in voting them the best animal shelter in Arizona! All you need to do is go here, click Shopping & Services > Best Animal Shelter and choose Arizona Animal Welfare League. As Arizona's oldest and largest no-kill shelter, they certainly deserve the recognition!

Sincere thanks,
Tilly

Post Bark Park Siesta

The bark park rules! My favorite thing besides peeing on every square inch of grass is to jump up on the tables and lick people's ears. I know my mom doesn't like it when I do that, but that's mostly why I do it! Time to chill on the tile.

My mom just told me I can't bogart this blog, so I took a picture of Lola and her precious dismembered monkey arm. (All the other toys in the house are mine, but I let her have this one...I mean seriously, a monkey arm?!)

One last thing, voting for our road trip destination ends in a day, so get your vote in now! Once that's been determined, coming polls will include where we should stay, things we should do, songs for the playlist, and more. Stay tuned and thanks for helping us plan!

Master Plan

Ha - we've cracked her. Our prolonged morning potty sessions have finally paid off! Our mom now rewards us Pupperoni when we go number two. I go potty right away so I can get my treat. Lola, on the other hand, just knows she has a treat coming so starts to do tricks on the lawn. I think it's funny when my mom keeps saying, "No Lola, go potty. No shake, no beg, go potty." As it turns out this keeps us outside twice as long plus the treats. Love it.

Age of Enlightenment

Hello World - My mom told me about this blog today and I couldn't wait to get started! See, I live my life mostly within a half mile radius. It's not so bad, afterall, I have fun hobbies and important responsibilities. Everyday, I protect the house, look after my little sister (Lola) and Roscoe (the turtle), go kitty patrolling, take online courses, practice Jui-Jitsu and spend some time relaxing with Voltaire.
My mom said this blog is about adventure. I can't wait to get out of my half mile radius and explore the world! You can help me do this by planning my adventures! My mom is willing to chauffer me anywhere so long as my little sister agrees (Lola gets to type next). Please help make this a success and give us your ideas! The first trip will be a weekend road trip within 500 miles of Phoenix.
Gotta run, it's treat time. I look forward to your suggestions.
